Emergency Resilience Funding for Families and Young People

Community Foundation is supporting families and young people in Birmingham who require emergency financial assistance due to Covid-19. Emergency Resilience Funding support is available to young people and families. The funding is strictly for emergencies due to Covid-19 and payments are usually made within 2 days of application.

The emergency funding is for families in hardship, for example to buy food, medicines, nappies and other supplies. Or to pay for emergency fuel, white goods or internet access.

Please contact Community Foundation on 0121 238 3282 or send an email to: info@thecommunityfoundation.org.uk with your full name, contact number and why and what emergency support you need. We will contact you to take additional information needed for the emergency funding application.

Community Foundation in partnership with The Money Charity ran a free workshop on money management on Wednesday 25 May 2016.

The workshop will allow participants to:

  • Plan your finances to enable you to stay on top of your money now and to help you to achieve your goals for the future.

  • Structure saving to make bigger things happen and to prevent financial blips turning into a personal recession.

  • Take action to deal with repaying credit

  • Choose financial products wisely and use them to enhance your financial well-being.

  • Keep on top of what’s happening with your pay, your cash and your bank account
