Holiday Activity Scheme
WINTER HOLIDAY SCHEME

Wed 24 Dec + Mon 29th - Wed 31st Dec ( 9:45am–1:45 pm)
Community Foundation runs a holiday activity scheme for boys and girls aged 6-16 during the Easter, Summer, and Winter holidays. The scheme offers sessions tailored to different age groups. Sessions will run from 9:45 AM to 1:45 PM. Children will be provided with nutritious cooked hot lunch daily.
Children enjoy a variety of activities, including sports, talent competitions, arts and crafts, and energisers. They also learn about nutrition and healthy eating through cooking activities. In addition to daily physical activities we also have classroom based activities, including painting, drawing, board games, origami, and more, fostering creativity and teamwork.

Winter Day Trip
Booking is now open for our Winter Activity Scheme day trips. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register by completing the Day Trip Form. To be eligible for the trip:
Children will need to be registered on our Winter Activity Scheme
Attend the scheme daily
Demonstrate good behaviour
Engage in all activities
We will get in touch with parents who have completed the registration form and children who have filled the above 4 conditions.
The trip planned for this winter is as follows:
Blackpool Illumination & Skating (Wed 31st Dec 2025)
Departing from Small Heath at 11:00 am
Departing from Blackpool Illuminations at 7:00 pm
Requirements:
Aged 6–16 years old
In receipt of Free School Meals (FSM)
Willing to participate in daily activities
Benefits:

FAQ:
Who can attend the scheme? Is there any eligibility?
The scheme is open to boys and girls aged 6-16 years old. Priority is given to children in receipt of free school meals.
Do I need to attend the trips with my child?
All children must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian.
Is there a fee to attend the day trips?
The day trips are completely free for children who receive Free School Meals. However, any additional friends of family members who wish to attend will need to pay a small fee. Children who attend the scheme but do not receive FSM will also have to pay a fee to attend the trips.
Can I make payment for day trips on the day of the trip?
No, all payments must be settled in advance of the day trip.
What do I provide my child with daily?
Children must wear loose clothing, trainers (no open toed shoes)
