Fundraising Officers

Location: Nationwide

The post holders will be responsible for co-ordinating and developing Islamic Help’s fundraising programmes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • In consultation with the Fundraising Manager, assist with the development of Islamic Help’s fundraising plan.

  • In consultation with the Fundraising Manager, identify individual programmes and priorities for funding, and organise fundraising campaigns.

  • Keep track of donor funding trends and priorities and communicate this to the Fundraising Manager to ensure Islamic Help programmes are in line with objectives.

  • To plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns, events and initiatives such as tours, treks, road-shows, fundraising lectures, dinners etc.

  • To recruit volunteers to assist with fundraising activities and events.

  • To produce support materials to promote our fundraising activity such as merchandise, promotional materials, banners etc. 

  • To identify funding opportunities, locally, nationally and internationally and contribute to the development of Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy. 

  • To administer fundraising income by keeping reports and tracking donations as well as donor correspondence and to evaluate the success of Islamic Help’s fundraising activity. 

  • To identify partnership opportunities, locally, nationally and internationally, for joint fundraising campaigns, with a view to build and broaden Islamic Help’s capacity e.g. skills, expertise, donor base etc.

  • To develop fundraising strategies in consultation with the Fundraising Manager to target the corporate sector.

  • Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

Community Engagement & Volunteers Officer

 

Location: London E1

Reporting directly to the Community Engagement & Fundraising (CE & FR) Manager, you will work with other members of the CE & FR team to grow fundraising income from an innovative and exciting programme of events, including in-person and digital events, as well as UK and overseas challenges.

 

You will also be responsible for all aspects of volunteering at MC, including recruitment, training, the retention of volunteers for various roles and different types of events. This is an exceptional opportunity for an intelligent, organised and creative person who is looking for their next step in a career in fundraising and volunteer management.

 

The role covers many aspects of fundraising, including organising events, team leadership and communications: an interest in working across and gaining experience in these areas is vital.

Community Fundraising Officer

Location: Birmingham

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Community Fundraising Officer’ to join its Fundraising division based out its office in Birmingham, UK. To support the Regional Community Fundraising Manager in fulfilling the organisational objectives of developing and optimising on community fundraising and volunteer initiatives.

 

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • Experience in establishing and developing relationships with key stakeholders

  • Experience in project coordination i.e. events and campaigns

  • Experience of organising and supervising events

  • Experience of recruiting, managing and developing volunteers

  • Experience in motivating and managing volunteers

  • Experience in professional fundraising

  • Full UK Driving license

  • Knowledge and understanding of the local region and community

  • To prioritise and work well under the pressure of a busy environment

  • To take a collaborate approach with a strong sense of teamwork and willingness to work with colleagues cross organisationally in support of wider objectives

Head of Strategy and Change

Location: London, Greater London

The Head of Strategy and Change will lead on the development and implementation of the Muslim Aid Strategy and Change Management plans. Working with key stakeholders, they will identify required changes and ensure strategic objectives and goals are delivered across the organisation.

About the Role

  • To support the CEO/Leadership Team (LT) in developing, planning and executing the strategic priorities of Muslim Aid

  • To provide support to stakeholders to develop processes, systems and teams aligned to the Target Operating Model (TOM)

  • To design, plan and monitor the change management initiatives to successfully embed change

  • To oversee and deliver key projects and programmes across the organisation

  • To perform reviews and analysis of functions/departments/processes as necessary for maximising efficiencies and reducing costs

  • To assist the Head of People & Culture and Services in developing a performance culture in the organisation ensuring goals and KPIs are aligned to the strategic priorities
