Summary


We are seeking Admin Support Volunteers to work alongside our office team to assist with administrative tasks and help keep our operations running smoothly. We have supported many people over the years to develop essential skills and expertise to work in an office environment.


Detailed description


Key Responsibilities:


  • Type and word-process various documents and electronic information.

  • Providing administration support

  • Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.

  • Manage, organise, and update relevant data using database applications.

  • Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organisational operations and effective service to connecting groups.

  • Organising and co-ordinating the meeting room diary.

  • Deal with general enquiries.

  • Screen telephone calls, e-mails and faxes and deal with them if they don’t need to be referred to another individual or department

  • Handling correspondence and ensuring letters are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner

  • Liaise extensively with professionalism and diplomacy with individuals at all levels

  • Diary and email management

  • Liaise with suppliers and client

  • Help prepare the organisation’s newsletter and update website



Person Specification


  • Strong interest in community/charity sector.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Good writing skills, with experience in preparing reports or similar documents.

  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a commitment to the values of The Community Foundation.

Working Hours:

Office is open 9am – 6pm Mon- Fri (we offer flexible days and times) 1 hour lunch break
