Fundraising Trainee
Job Description
Although, we deliver several projects and initiatives, this role will not be a project work role. We are offering a placement opportunity for a student who is ideally in their penultimate year of University (flexible) to join our team as a Fundraising Trainee. This role is pivotal to our mission as it involves crafting compelling funding applications to secure the necessary resources for our projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential funding sources: Utilise various online platforms, databases, and networks to identify potential sources of funding and collate.
Work closely with our fundraising team to prepare and write detailed and persuasive grant proposals.Â
Collaborate with different departments to gather information and data for applications.
Maintain a calendar of application deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
Follow up on submitted applications and manage correspondence with funders.
Assist in developing project budgets and financial plans for grant applications.
Track and report on the status of funding applications.
Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented student with excellent writing and research skills. They should be passionate about social causes and possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Â
Person Specification:
Strong writing and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Passionate about the non-profit sector and social causes
Working Hours:
Mon-Fri 10AM-5PM. We are flexible and willing to accommodate a flexible working days and time to support the student’s needs. Students usually come in for four days per week.
