SPWP for BAME Men

Our Social & Physical Wellbeing Programme is a free one-year programme for BAME menaged fifty and over. Taking place every Saturday, join us for tea and refreshments and meet other people tosocialise, learn and stay active. This programme has been designed to bring men together,reduce social isolation, improve health and create a welcoming space where participants canbuild friendships and enjoy regular activities.


Free Weekly Activities:


  • Tea and chat

  • Health and wellbeing workshops

  • IT training sessions

  • Sports and exercise activities

  • Outdoor walks and day trip

Requirements:

Aged 50 or over

BAME (North African, Somali, Bangladeshi, Pakistani or Indian)

Willing to participate in activities

1. Is there a fee for the programme?


No, the programme is completely free.


2. Who can attend the programme?


The programme is open to BAME men aged 50+.


3. How long are the sessions?


Weekly sessions are approximately 1.5 hours. Outdoor walks and day trips will be full-dayactivities.


4. Where will sessions take place?


Sessions will take place at Jami Masjid & Islamic Centre, B10 0LL.

Role Salary Ranges (Permanent Placements)

​

  • Nursery Practitioner: £18,000 – £24,000 per annum

  • SEN Support Worker: £19,000 – £26,000 per annum

  • Preschool Manager: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum

  • Registered Nurse: £26,000 – £40,000 per annum

  • Mental Health Support Worker: £22,000 – £28,000 per annum

  • Dementia Care Specialist: £24,000 – £32,000 per annum

 

Additional Pay & Premium Enhancements

​

  • Weekend Premium: +£2.00 per hour

  • Bank Holiday Premium: +£4.00 per hour

  • Night Shift Premium: +£1.50 per hour

  • On-Call Allowance: £25.00 per night

  • Overtime Rate: Time and a half (after 40 hours)
