Apprenticeship Scheme
Requirements:
Community Foundation provides vocational, accredited and non accredited training courses for individuals and organisations. We offer a range of training programmes and apprenticeships from basic to advance levels for 16-19 years old as well as those that are 24 years and above.
Our organisational training programmes are bespoke models to suit individual organsiational needs. If you have a specific need, we will be more than happy to talk through your proposed training plan.
Apprenticeships
We are regularly recruiting people with relevant background and interest onto our apprenticeship programme. We offer apprenticeships in the following work areas:
Youth and Community Work
Health & Social Care
Business Administration
IT
As an apprentice, you will be employed, earn a minimum apprenticeship wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job specific skills. You will learn in the workplace whilst gaining qualifications and earning money at the same time. You will be mostly based in the workplace; but may on occassion, once or twice a month be required to attend college or a classroom based environment in a chosen place to complete the theory based side of your apprenticeship (depending on your chosen programme). Together, this will help you to gain the skills, confidence and expertise to progress in your chosen specialism.

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)
We have a number of free NVQ courses from level 1 to level 3 that we can offer to people between the ages of 16 - 24 years old. Leaning is provided thorugh a mixture of work placement and classroom based environment. We offer the following NVQs jointly though our partners:
Management level 3-5
Children and Young People Workforce Level 2 & 3
Business Administration Level 2 & 3
IT level 2-3

Apprenticeships
What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a structured training program that combines practical, on-the-job experience with formal education. It involves a mix of workplace training and classroom instruction They provide a pathway for individuals to acquire practical skills, earn a wage, and receive a formal qualification.
Do I get a qualification upon completing an apprenticeship?
Yes, you will achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
What is the typical length of an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship will usually last between 12-18 months.
How much will I get paid?
You will be paid the National Apprenticeship wage
Will I have to complete any exams?
Towards the end of your apprenticeship, you will complete an End Point Assessment
Is there an eligibility criteria?
Yes, individuals must aged over 16 and not be in full time education. Candidates must also undertake an interview.
